Rotary, Lions and Workaid combine to fund a project

The three organisations have cooperated to provide equipment for Stony Dean School

Representatives of the Lions Club and Rotary present cheques to the school

With a long history of working for the local community and schools  I am pleased to report that the  Rotary Club of Amersham has been working with the Amersham and Chesham Lions to support the introduction of additional metal working and woodworking tools and a new laser cutter to assist the Resistant Materials Dept along with the Art Dept.

WorkAid has also very generously assisted in this project by providing 24 out of the 87 items requested.

This financial cooperation between the groups and assistance from WorkAid might be a first but hopefully not the last cooperative project .

We will be invited to view the outcome once the laser cutter is up and running.
