Some time ago Amersham Rotary Club were asked if we could donate money towards sponsoring ten young people who study at Chiltern Hills Academy, Chesham, to enable them take part in the Tall Ships Challenge in July this year and we were very pleased to be able to offer them a donation.
The students also raised money themselves in various ways, including a Cheese & Wine evening, baking cakes, raffles, etc. Additional sponsorship was provided by other local organisations, including the Police.
Today, some of the group came to talk to us. We welcomed three Year-11 students - Connor Bristow, Jamie Shaw and Jordan Marshall, and their tutor Miss Gemma Crowe, to our regular Club meeting.
