8-9 August 2013 - Woodside School youngsters enjoy two great days of sailing
.
Seven children from Woodside School attended a sailing scheme this week at the Upper Thames Sailing Club in Bourne End - sponsored by the Amersham Rotary Club.
During the two-day course Mollie, Louie, Abigail, Ryan, Stella, William and David worked towards gaining their Royal Yacht Club Level One course, guided by enthusiastic and experienced coaches from Upper Thames, Bruce, Phil, Derek and Joe.
The weather was fine and sunny, and on the second day a breeze added some excitement to the sailing.
Much fun was had learning all aspects of boating, including safety on the water, rigging and of course, capsize drill
