9 February 2011 - Darts team off to a winning start

The Club's first match in the District Darts competition was against Berkhamsted Bulbourne. At the 11th hour one of our stars, a previous winner of the Archie Ferguson Challenge Cup, Allan Childs dropped out. Fortunately John Stephenson dashed over to take his place.
Chalmers and Vic lost the first pairs match as they were unable to hit a double. In fact it took so long for the opposition to hit their double we were worried about finishing the match before closing time.
John and Peter McLoughlin came back from a set down to win 2-1.
