On March 23rd Adam Clarke treated us to a fascinating talk on the subject of beekeeping, and in particular the different phases in the life of a bee colony. We heard about how honey is harvested from the colony, the different jobs undertaken by bees during their lifecycle, and the many risks they face from predators.
Adam also handed out useful information on the types of plant to grow if we want to attract bees to our gardens, and how our plant choices could provide bees with food throughout the year.
