In existence since 1954, Watton and District Rotary Club is a small, but friendly club which is committed to the local community and manages to achieve a huge amount through the hard work and community spirit of all its Members. We are a mixed group of local people from a variety of backgrounds who work together to try and make the world a better place. Most importantly, we enjoy it as well, combining hard work with a great social life. We are proud to belong to the worldwide Rotary International organisation Thanks to the generosity of the people of Watton and surrounding villages we manage to raise a lot of money each year to support local, national and international good causes. We are a COMMUNITY club and we aim to serve our local community wherever we can. We want to help make the area around Watton an even better place to live by supporting local community activities and working with local schools to reinforce the wonderful work they are doing for all our young people. Why not get in touch? If you want to know more about us or how we might support something you care about, please email us at wattonrotary@uwclub.net Did you know? The Rotary Club of Watton & District is just one of more than 1800 Rotary Clubs in Great Britain and Ireland. Rotary was founded in 1905. It is now represented in 162 countries with around 30,000 clubs and 1,200,000 members around the globe. It is one of the largest service organisations in the world, and membership is open to both men and women. Amongst other things we raise funds for local and international charitable purposes, hold social events, encourage and develop friendship, enjoy a variety of guest speakers, and above all we have a lot of fun doing these things! As a result we would like others to consider joining Rotary |
