OUR MEMBERS
Our Rotary Club has a membership of honest men and true:
Mr FAIRHEAD there, with his paper and pen, could write them all out for you.
As a Secretary he is worthy of note, I suppose of the President I must quote.
I must not say much, my husband is he, with what I write he may not agree;
The past President, a good man named SMITH, has cleverly avoided many a tiff,
He guided through their first two years, they won't do so well this year, I fear,
But Alex will keep them all in good cheer!
Mr LEEK is the man, if the electric goes wrong, Mr FAULKNER you want, if you feel like a song,
Your photograph Mr DWORNIK will take, your coffin Mr David CORYN could make,
Mr MADOC is the man, if you've plenty of money, he'll supply you with bees and good Norfolk honey.
If your wife fresh cakes you will take, Mr OGDEN'S the man these lovely things bake,
Mr WOLSEN-HOLMES a very good butcher we found, I'm sorry he had to move out of town.
Now if your teeth are really aching, and with great fear your mind is shaking,
Mr PARK's the man these teeth to extract, and give to you your courage back.
Mr Tony SPOKES, a man of speed, will sell you sacks of Twyford seeds.
Now let me warn you next year dear Derrick, top seat at the table you will inherit
Mr SEWELL's a man admired by all, he just moved his school to Brettenham Hall
Now if your sight is beginning to fade, Mr WOODS is the man to come to your aid
Of the FMC I must now write here Mr BRETT can put you right
He will quote you prices and book your order, with figures he is a great recorder
The ADCOCK brothers, both rather small men, will sell you a watch or fountain pen
If a wireless or television set you require, from them you can either purchase or hire,
If its tired you are and need chair or bed, the CARTER brothers, let it be said,
Will fit you up from their nice new shop, also carpets and cots, even a mop.
If a meal you require or a bed for the night, Dick FRENCH at 'The Bull', he'll see you right.
Now dear Derrick, I'm sorry I spoke of 'the chair', I hear Mr FAULKNER is the man to be there.
Canon FAILES, dear man, a great asset I guess, at lunch on Thursdays, the meal he will bless.
A fresh member you have in Mr LING's place, a newcomer to town Mr C CASE
Now poor Mr HENDERSON I've left to the last, do buy his petrol if you want to drive fast!
