This evening's Committee meeting, held via Zoom, was the last of the current Rotary year. Members expressed hope that we may soon be able to meet face to face again, if Covid restrictions are lifted later this month as planned. We discussed a possible return to Broom Hall for our meetings next month, and whether these meetings can be made part physical, and part virtual, for those who can't get to the venue.
We also discussed our Shelterboat project, which Paul W hopes to launch in August, and our recently completed Young Citizen's awards and Young Environmentalist competition. Other items on the agenda included our planting crocuses at the new roundabout on Thetford Road, which Watton Town Council will discuss this week, and Martin A's Rotary Rose project which has been a great success, with all but 11 of the initial order of over 100 now sold.
