This evening our guest Geoff Blunton delivered an inspirational talk entitled Partnerships. He told us the story of his his life as a member of both the Salvation Army and Rotary, and how often the two organisations have worked together to improve the lives of people across the world. Both Rotary and the Salvation Army share similar humanitarian goals of clean water, education and health.
During his talk Geoff, a member of Kettering Rotary Club, took us through his various postings with the Salvation Army to places as diverse as Kenya, South Africa and Indonesia, and how he managed to develop partnerships between the two organisations to deliver complex and sometimes very expensive projects.
Members were unanimous in their gratitude to Geoff for visiting us and giving such an inspirational talk.
