Plastics Debate

At this evening's Zoom meeting we were delighted to induct a new member into the Rotary Club, Bob Cave. He was warmly welcomed by all present.

The rest of the evening was taken up by a formal debate about plastics, with speakers declaring their support or opposition to the motion that 'This house believes that the indiscriminate increase in the use of plastic has caused irreparable damage to our environment and the natural world'.

At the end of a lively debate a vote proved inconclusive, with 35% supporting the motion, 35% opposing it, and 29% undecided!

President Mike thanked all those who participated in this unusual meeting for our club.
