Our final meeting of 2020 was a virtual Christmas party, with Inner Wheel, wives and partners invited. We also welcomed Jim Hatcher, a guest from Stockton Rotary Club in Texas, invited by Ivan.
During the meeting President Mike was delighted to carry out our first online induction of a new member, Rick Woodruffe.
We also had a performance of Watton Rotary Club's own song, composed several years ago by Peter Cowling, and other Christmas songs and music. Amusing videos were screened, quizzes were undertaken, and Christmas stories and poems read by various IW members.
The evening finished with the draw of our '50 club', an important fundraiser for us, and members whose number was selected won amounts varying from £100 to £10.
A very enjoyable evening, and we all expressed the fervent wish that we could once again meet face to face before too long.
