Congratulations go to Ely Rotary Club who won the 2017 District Quiz final this year. It was a very close run competition with the lead changing several times as each of the 7 rounds or questions progressed.
After the 7 rounds both Ely and Brandon & District Clubs has the same score - it was down to a tie-breaker question which each of the team captains were nominated to deal with.
Team captain and Ely President, Phil Smith, came out the victor and Ely Club were presented with the winners shield, a shield was also presented to runners-up, Brandon & District.
10 teams from around the District took part in the competition final at Soham ans their efforts and support for the event was recognised on the night by SVP Bill Rind. Thanks were also given for the Soham Rangers Football Club and The Maids's Head catering staff for the very tasty buffet.
A raffle in aid of Foundation's End Polio Now campaign raised over £300 and everyones generosity was very much appreciated.
Soham Club looks forward to getting an excellent response from Clubs in the District for the 2018 competition.
