Six rinks entered the Ramshead in Perth. The winning rink would qualify to represent Scotland in the Rotary Worlds Championship 2028 to be held first week in April in North Carolina USA
It was agreed that there would be five 8 end games so everyone played everyone with no separate final. A win was 2 points with then ends followed by shots up to determine the winners. Our rink for Perth was Stewart Riddick; skip, Grant Martin, third, Ann-Maree Davidson, second, with Anna Martin lead. The competition included rinks from Dumfries, Forfar, Ayr, Aberdeen and first timers Dunblane.
The Competition was very tight with 3 rinks getting six points and the result being determined at the last game with the last shot in the last end when Dunblane beat Ayr. Exciting stuff! There were only 3 ends between the first and third, Ayr had 6 points with 20 ends Forfar 6 points with 21 ends but Perth was victorious with 6 points and 23 ends so the Ramshead trophy is back in Perth.
