The selection rounds in the Perth area local primary schools have just completed. There were 14 participating primary schools and we are delighted to announce that the following 8 schools with the highest scores will be competing at the 2026 Rotary Primary School Quiz in on 5th March, 2026.
Each school enters a team of 4 pupils. The quiz is 60 questions long and covers a wide range of topics including geography, technology, mathematics, science, music, art and general knowledge.
The top two teams will go forward to the District and Final rounds of the competition.
Here’s the story of last year’s grand finale that included both Oakbank and Kinnoull Primary Schools.
2025 Primary School Quiz
Oakbank Primary School won the grand final of the Rotary Primary School Quiz competition in Aberdeen, winning against 15 other schools from across the north of Scotland. The runners up were Farr Primary School from Inverness.
After 60 questions and a nail-biting tie break round, then going a sudden death, they were crowned overall winners of the Rotary Quiz 2025.
The team was made up of P7 pupils Marisa Robertson, Travis Mackay, Hana Chalmers and Eli Fraser. The pupils are supported by Perth Rotary Club who have a link with Gail Mackay, Rotary Club, member who meets with the school House Captains as part of the Rotakids project work, fundraising for local and international charities.
The children performed so well and are an absolute credit to the school.
Kinnoull Primary School were also taking part in the final and although not so successful on the day had done extremely well to get to the final!
