Oakbank Primary School RotaKids

Oakbank RotaKids join the Club for lunch

Oakbank Primary School come to Lunch!

Our recent lunchtime meeting was given a real boost as the Club welcomed 4 pupils and their depute Headteacher from Oakbank Primary School.  It certainly lowered the average age of those present!

The pupils, all House Captains and members of the school’s RotaKids Club, gave a very confident and enthusiastic presentation using PowerPoint. Taking it in turns to speak, they spoke  enthusiastically about the school ethos, and outlined how they were chosen to become house captains and what their role involved. This focused at all times on the values of  achievement, compassion, opportunity, resilience and nurture. They had also created a video about their school and played that for us too.

The pupils talked about the work they are doing in their Rotakids Club and how they did the shoebox appeal at Christmas time and are now working on the sensory playground for the school’s area which supports pupils with special needs.  This they reckon, will be a project which will carry on to  next year and be run by the next group of RotaKids as the current group of pupils head to Perth High School next term.

Our thanks must go to the school and the pupils for work they do and we so enjoyed their company.
