Rotary Clubs can be competitive! In a good way. Every year they compete in the Gavel Challenge which entails a team from each club competing first locally and the winner moving through regional heats to a final.
The challenge is based on several games, such as dominoes, Connect 4, Putting and Carpet Bowls.
We played two of the three ties against Claverhouse and Perth Kinnoull on 21st and 22nd October at the Royal George Hotel. The 3rd tie was at the Invercarse Hotel on Tuesday 5th November, 2024.
Thanks to our Bethany for devising the games and gathering the 2 teams of 8 plus her helpers.
Unfortunately we lost both games. Nonetheless, it was really all about the fun & fellowship. Better luck next year!!
