The annual Rotary Charity Golf Day was played in sunshine on Friday 13th September, 2024 with 22 teams entered. We’d like to thank Springfield Homes for sponsoring the event this year.
The Golf Day is much looked forward to in Perth’s business calendar. It’s always a lot of fun for the golfers whilst raising much needed funds for local charities. This year we raised £7,170. We’d like to give a big thank you to all those businesses that sent a team, sponsored a hole or advertised in the programme.
The match was closely contested with the team from Algo winning ahead of the team from Crown Paints by just one point. Well done to Algo.
This was the 30th year of the Charity Event taking place at the King James VI island course (apart from the inevitable gap for COVID). The usual May date was rescheduled due to the unfortunate flooding of the course in March. The staff and members have worked tirelessly to get the course back in order and have done a fine job. The event went smoothly thanks also to many Rotary members helping out including our President Bev who doesn’t play but was our official photographer for the day!
We’ve been invited back to King James VI next May and we’re looking forward to doing it all again.
