VisionPK is your local sight and hearing loss charity and they have recently opened a Sensory Hub in George Street in Perth city centre. The newly designed Sensory Hub offers a fully accessible space including a lounge, kitchen and technology room where people can practically test out equipment that could help them at home/work. There is also specialist lighting that can be adjusted dependant on individual eye conditions.
There are meeting rooms that have conference equipment with hearing loop facilities. These rooms will be available to rent for community use. There will also be opportunities to drop in for support from trained rehabilitation specialists and access to groups, peer support and activities.
Kate Charles, Chief Executive of Vision PK, says “We are here to provide support to people with sight and hearing loss and want to ensure our service meets their needs. It is important we reach as many people as possible across Perth and Kinross. We value The Rotary Club of Perth and other Rotary Clubs as they have well established connections and active members who can share information about VisionPK within the wider community. We appreciate being able to tap into their members expertise and are grateful for their continued support.”
