The Rotary Club of Perth is active in international projects
Rotary Foundation: At the end of each year Council allocates an amount from surplus to The Rotary Foundation. These funds are used across many international projects supported by the Foundation including the eradication of polio. https://www.rotary.org/en/about-rotary/rotary-foundation
World Polio Day: Perth and Kinross Council support annual World Polio Day (24th October) and illuminate in purple the Council HQ; St Paul's and St Matthews. The Rotary Club of Perth publicises this day and we combine this with a club walk around Perth and a social drink afterwards.
The Free to Live Trust (Seema Project): Supported for many years but now concluded.
Kenya National Children’s Home: We financially supported two girls over many years. This year we support one and this scheme concludes in 2026.
Winter Shoe boxes. Each year we remit up to 50 boxes of Christmas gifts/essentials for needy areas in Eastern Europe, including Ukraine; Romania and Moldova.
Tayside and Strathearn Support for Ukraine. We provided substantial cash support in 2024/25 combined with Presidents Beverley’s warm clothing initiative.
Lend with Care: This international charity https://lendwithcare.org/ makes small loans to small entrepreneurs to get their business off the ground.
RCOP provide investment funding for start-up businesses in third world countries and work through Rotakids at Oakbank Primary who select the businesses for investment. Lendwithcare is a way to help people in low-income countries to work their way out of poverty with dignity. Through Lendwithcare, you can lend as little as £15 to fund a small business. Once the money is repaid, you can choose to recycle your loan to support more low-income entrepreneurs.
As at the end of December 2025 Oakbank Primary School have made 11 loans to African and South East Asian entrepreneurs and the first repayments have started to flow through.
