Litter picking across the city is a regular activity of the Perth Rotarians. It makes an impact on the environment and those involved always enjoy great camaraderie whilst on the job!
In September 2023 the 12 Rotarians filled 40 bags with rubbish. Whilst they were working it prompted a member of the public to ask how they could get involved in setting up a group and we were able to point them in the right direction.
There’s a PKC scheme at https://www.pkc.gov.uk/litterpickers. There is now a network of “hosts” for litter picking equipment so that members of the public can borrow, share and return litter picking equipment locally in their community.
