Perth Rotary Club Shoebox Heroes

Like many Rotary Clubs across the country, our club members and friends fill Rotary Shoe Boxes every year. However, two of our members, Gordon Dow and son Sandy have, for nearly 10 years, provided the local drop off point in Perth, for boxes from around the district, at their warehouse in Inveralmond Industrial Estate, Perth.

Last November over 3,000 boxes were despatched to the Ukraine, in time for a Christmas delivery.

The photos show the 19 pallets being prepared and Gordon with the boxes prior to despatch. Our thanks go to Gordon, Sandy and all the staff at Spectreglass who work all year to unload Rotarians' cars, stack the boxes and store them carefully until the next despatch is made.
