The Rotary Club of Perth fundraises for good causes, principally through its Silent Auction, Classic Car Tour and golf events. We support a number of major Scottish charities. We also allocate smaller grants and donations to more local charities and voluntary organisations, especially those run by volunteers. It is not necessary to have charitable status to apply for a grant. We very much welcome local applications.
Our funds are not limitless, and we cannot donate to everyone, even when the cause is most worthwhile. However, we do take care in our selection and every eligible organisation is invited to apply for assistance. At the present time we do not award grants to individuals. Grants are determined each month by the Club’s Council and their decision is ratified at a full meeting of club members.
To ensure all applicants are treated equally we ask that applications are made on our standard form, with any supporting documentation the applicant wishes to submit. The form is straightforward, but the Club Treasurer (to whom the form is returned) is always willing to answer questions. The form is in Word format and can be downloaded here:
