On the 23rd February 2009 the Rotary Club of March held its Annual International Night at the March Conservative Club where the distinguished guest speaker was Counsellor Regina Bittencourt from the Embassy of Brazil in London. There were guests from the Rotary Club of Chatteris and District Governor Peter Harris and his wife Dorothy were also in attendance. Rotarian George White introduced the speaker whose talk encompassed a wide and interesting variety of topics resulting in many questions being raised at Question Time after the talk.
The evening ended with a vote of thanks given by Rotarian John Orbell and with a presentation by March Rotary President, Terry Emery of a Rotary Banner, a book on the Cambridgeshire Fens and a copy of "March Past and Present" by Trevor Bevis.
