Sausage and Mash Supper, and fun!

The International Committee are holding their historic Annual Race Night, now entitled: Charity Sausage & Mash Night with Equine Connections on Saturday, 12th November, 2016 at the Conservative Club. Tickets will be £7 each and the evening commences with a good hot meal of Sausage & Mash at 7.30 p.m. sharp. Each year, these events become harder to organise and we are asking for your support, as it it still a very good fund raiser. It is not an expensive evening and very enjoyable. Individual bets are only 50p. Get your friends to put it in their diary! Apart from the 100 tickets we need to sell, we require Race sponsors who will have a race named after them. (e.g. “The Medium Rare Stakes”). Each sponsor is asked to donate a minimum of £15 or a bottle of spirit to that value. We also require 64 people to buy the horses at £5 each. Again, they can name their horse and owner, (e.g. “One Little Piggy by Karen Coppin’’). Should your horse win its race, you will receive the donated bottle, plus of course the returns from any winning bets you have placed on your horse. Please ask your friends to make up a small party and also to buy a horse. If you know any businesses that are willing to sponsor a race, then please ask them. We need the replies on or before 10th October at very the latest, since all sponsors and horse owner’s names need to be printed in the programme.
