Fenland Music Concert

Sat, Jul 4th 2015 at 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Held at St Peter's Church

Over 100 people enjoyed an entertaining, and foot tapping evening, of music to suit all tastes on Saturday 4th July, at St. Peters Church, March. Presented by the very talented musicians from the Fenland Music Centre, and promoted by The Rotary Club of March. This has now become a regular annual event. The Music School was founded over70 years ago. We were treated to examples of the musician’s expertise, from solo performances, to a large swing band, under the guidance of Alan Norris. During the interval a quartet of Flute, Clarinet and Harps, enticed people out into the balmy summer evening in the adjoining garden. It was obvious to all, that the fifty local young people who provided the evening’s entertainment, derived as much pleasure from playing, as did the appreciative audience. It is estimated that well over £600.00 was raised for the Music Centre.
