Popular BBC Radio Cambridge presenter Christopher South, paid a long awaited visit to The Rotary Club of March on Monday 19th October, 2015. A packed audience regaled with laughter at the pictures Mr South painted in words. His encounters in everyday life, characters he had interviewed over his many years as a radio presenter, and his lifelong association Dennis of Grunty Fen. He being the world’s leading authority on life in and around the well-known Fen. Spontaneous applause greeted his highly entertaining talk, and all too soon the evening drew to a close. Many members and guests from across the region snapped up the copies of his latest book, “Who’s who in Grunty Fen”, which he was pleased to sign and dedicate. Robert Freeman Press Officer. R.C.M.
