Donation to the King’s Lynn Food Bank
Recently the Rotary Club of King’s Lynn has made donations to eight local charities, totalling some £4900. One of the charities to benefit is the King’s Lynn Food Bank.
During 2024 the Food Bank distributed 6527 food parcels to families in King’s Lynn and West Norfolk and since January of this year an average of 461 parcels has been provided each month, over 60% of them going to families with children.
Although the number of households helped was slightly lower in 2024 than the previous year the charity feels that impending changes to disability benefits will lead to an increase in those needing support from the Food Bank.
