Feeding Fenland
On 11 May 2026 the Club speaker was Chrissie Hobbs from the charity Feeding Fenland. From small beginnings serving meals in a car park in Wisbech, in 2025 some 50,000 meals were provided. On average about 170 meals are served each night, six days a week. The food is home cooked on a rota basis by some 80 volunteers. The chief costs are for paper plates, plastic cups and disposable cutlery, as most of the food is supplied by supermarkets and other organisations. The meals are now provided form a primary school in Wisbech.
