On Tuesday, 29th March, 2016, being the fifth meeting day of the month, we asked our wives to join us and hear some entertainment by one of our members.   This time it was the turn of Rtn. Tom Pearce who took us through a nostalgic journey back to June l998.   That year was the year that Tom, being the Immediate Past President at the time had to organise the outgoing “thank you” to our President George Cooper.    Unbeknown to George, Tom had arranged a trip on the Broads Paddle Boat at Horning.    A film was made of the evening trip and it was that film that was shown to us on Tuesday.    Some of our newer members were not part of that celebration, but for the rest of us it was nice to relive what turned out to be an excellent evening.   The sun was shining and the sky blue and everyone enjoyed the leisurely cruise down to St. Benet’s Abbey.   A meal was served and we were serenaded by some hand bell ringers.  For many of us watching the film we were left wondering who those young men and women were, “How time flies”.   Tom was thanked for his presentation by our President  Martin Keable.
