Jessica Hiscocks from the Charity Whizz Kidz, explained that the charity she was representing endeavoured to make available to all disabled children the right equipment to enable them to enjoy as fully as possible an ordinary life.
At our meeting on the 8th October, 2014, we welcomed , as our speaker, Jessica Hiscocks from the Charity Whizz Kidz. The aim of the Charity is to make available to all disabled children the right equipment to enable them to enjoy as fully as possible an ordinary life. The charity is the brainchild of a Mr. Mike Dickson who ran a cycle shop, after he had seen a wheelchair bound child unsuccessfully reaching for something on a top shelf. He developed a wheelchair, with added equipment attached, which enabled the user to raise the seat level as required. Manual wheelchairs cost between
