Guided Walk, Thelnetham Windmill

Sun, Jun 14th 2026 at 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Join us for a relaxing guided nature walk, jointly hosted by the Little Ouse Headwaters Project and Diss & District Rotary Club. Starting from Parkers Piece IP22 1JU , near Thelnetham Windmill
(What3Words: drilling.sport.iteration)

Come and explore the rich and varied beauty of the valley along the Little Ouse River. Along the way, you’ll learn about this unique landscape, the conservation work taking place, and discover some of the wonderful flora and fauna that call this special place home.

This gentle walk will be at an easy pace and last approximately one hour – 1 1/2hours.

For those looking for something a little different or the option of a shorter walk, there will also be an optional sensory walk. With guidance, participants can choose to walk blindfolded and fully immerse themselves in nature — experiencing the sounds, textures, and scents of the environment, from birdsong to leaves and wildflowers.

A suggested donation of £4 per person will support the ongoing restoration work of the Little Ouse Headwaters Project, helping to preserve this beautiful landscape for future generations.

After the walk, please join us for tea, coffee, and cake in front of Thelnetham Windmill, available for a small donation in support of the President’s 3  sight charities.
