Our annual opportunity for Young Photographers to show off their skills, with Local, District and National stages.
ROTARY YOUNG PHOTOGRAPHER COMPETITION 2024 - THEME: 'WONDERFUL WATER'
Aims
This competition aims to encourage young people to:
- Experiment with photography
- Use digital or traditional methods of photography
- Show interpretation of their chosen topic
- Express their ideas through the medium of photography
Who can take part?
The competition is open to children and young people attending all schools and college communities and any other young people's community organisations, as well as those who are home educated
There are three age-groups in the Cambridge competition, set by age on 31 August 2024:
Junior - up to 10 years old
Intermediate - 11 to 13 years old
Senior - 14 to 17 years old
The Cambridge Competition - Entry closes on 31 January 2025
Organised by the Rotary Club of Cambridge. Junior, Intermediate and Senior age-group winners will be entered into the East Anglian Rotary District competition.
District Competition March/April 2025
Organised by Rotary District 1080. Age-group winners of District competitions are entered into the National Final.
National Final May/June 2025
Organised by Rotary Great Britain & Ireland
Competition Task
Entrants are asked to produce one photograph based upon the theme: ‘Wonderful Water’
Photos should be submitted in digital format.
Cameras, mobile phones or other mobile devices and manipulations may be used.
