The Rotary Club of Bury St Edmunds extends a heartfelt thank you to all who so generously donated to the Christmas Collections at Tesco, Sainsbury's and Waitrose in December. A total of £1,717.92 was raised for Local and International Good causes.
Our famous Santa Sleigh made guest appearances, our Rotarians donned their tabards and their Santa hats and we were humbled and overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of the people of Bury St Edmunds.
Recently The Rotary Club of Bury St Edmunds has donated money raised to The Smoke Alarm Project (working with Fire and Rescue to provide Smoke Alarms and advice to vulnerable people in and around Bury St Edmunds), Aquabox (providing inexpensive but effective portable filtration systems to provide drinking water in areas of need), the Bury St Edmunds Women's Aid Centre and the Gatehouse Charity (supporting local people in need.)
