In supporting the Community the Club has
1. Worked with Bury in Bloom to fund the Herbs for the Herb Garden planters in the Brentgovel Street
2. Maintained links with a Primary School to give 'Dictionaries for Life' to pupils in Year 6 for life.
3. Spent a Saturday demonstrating Aquabox to passers-by on BSE Market
4. supported the Rotary Christmas Toy Box project
5. organised a Fund-raising Wine Tasting evening at The Guildhall
6. Supported, with a contribution, the Mid-Suffolk Rotary Club Smoke Alarms project.
7. Collected ring-pulls for the Purple Community work in the Philippines, with 1kg sent recently.
8. Maintained our members' ongoing and growing financial support for Lend with Care projects whilst thinking about working with a local school to encourage young people to do likewise.
We are about to start our annual Christmas Collections at Sainsbury, Tesco and Waitrose.
Sainsbury: Friday 12th and Thursday 18th December, 10.00 - 16.00
Tesco: Thursday 4th and Wednesday 10th December, 10.00 - 16.00
Waitrose: Saturday 20th December, 10.00 - 16.00
And we are on the move. Sadly, the Bury St Edmunds and Farmers Club closes at the end of December. In January, we look forward to finding a new home at The Three Kings, Fornham All Saints.
In the Spring we will hold our annual Schools Public Speaking competitions for Years 10 and 12 and run Swimarathon 2026.
Why not come and join us?
