Seventeen teams started the day early with bacon butties before a 'shot-gun' start at 8.50am. Weather was a little grey this year which made refreshments offered by members of the Abbey Club at the 'half-way House' even more welcome than normal.
Our congratuations to the the winning team: Daniel Bright, Anthony Gibney, James Hines and Ryan Isaac.
Speaking on behalf of both Clubs, Robert Davie thanked all for their participation and noted that this was the event's twentieth year. Six participants present had played in every one of those twenty Golf Day competitions.
Ed Crichton, partner and auction centre manager, Lacy Scott and Knight, raised further funds wiith a lively auction. Lots on offer included Golf Days, Dinners and Cream Teas. There was also an excellent raffle.
Our thanks to Ray Webber and Brian Daniels who 'masterminded' the event - and to everyone who played or supported. The 2024 Golf Day raised over £3200 for local charities and worthwhile causes.
