Club member Cris Barlow raises funds for MND Association

On a very warm summer day in June, Cris Barlow undertook his personal challenge to raise funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association in memory of a friend.
Cris is an above-the-knee amputee. With Bob Cooper, Flempton's 2023 Mens' Golf Captain, Cris set out to complete a continuous round of 45-holes. They were successful! We were full of admiration.
We congratulate Cris and Bob on raising over £5600 and offer our thanks to all their supporters.

Club member Robert Davie has completed cycling 640 miles for the Leaders of Worship and Preachers Homes (LWPHomes) to raise awareness in their 75th year. His route took him to the four sites at Westcliff-on-Sea, Woodhall Spa, Milborne Port and Minehead.

On August 6, at our Summer Buffet, President Stephen Cook led the Club in making a presentation of household goods to Amanda Bloomfield, the CEO of Gatehouse Charity.

The annual Charity Golf Day for 2024 is on September 25. A joint venture organised by the RC of Bury St Edmunds and Bury Abbey RC.
