Baldock Rotary Club inducts a new member.
On 10th December Baldock Rotary was delighted to welcome and induct Christopher Bennet as a new Rotarian.
Christopher has already attended several of our meetings and involved himself with our club’s pre-Christmas activities. He was proposed for membership by Rob Hemmings, with whom he has worked for many years a Treasurer to the 1st Baldock Scouts.
Christopher has recently retired from a long career in secondary education and is already involved in voluntary work.
The short, but meaningful Rotary induction ceremony was performed by Vice President Dean Howard, who along with the members present, welcomed Christopher into our club.
When one joins Rotary, it is not just a local club that you join but membership of a worldwide fellowship of 1.4 million Rotarians in over 200 countries and, when travelling, there is the opportunity to visit other clubs – both in our own country and abroad.
