Baldock rotary Club welcomed as our guest speaker Ellis Nassour recently
Ellis resides in New York and is a veteran of the New York Times, New York Daily News and MCA. He is an accomplished author having written several books. He wrote the first book about Jesus Christ Superstar and Honky Tonk Angel- the intimate story of Patsy Cline, still in print 4 decades later He has also writtern numerous works of entertainment journalism, and has worked with leading figures in the entertainment world including Neil Diamond, Loretta Lynn and The Who
His talk was about the production of Jesus Christ Superstar in which he worked closely with Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice. His talk include his personal anecdotes and illustrations of the complexity of bringing such a show from concept to reality on the stage and film. The huge costs and time scale to do so.
