Rotary on the Road: Building Business Connections at the Milton Keynes B2B Growth Expo

Representatives from Rotary District 1260 and Rotary District 1070 recently joined more than 100 exhibitors at the Milton Keynes B2B Growth Expo, held at the Ridgeway Centre  in Milton Keynes.

Throughout the event, Rotary members engaged with local business owners, entrepreneurs, and professionals to showcase how Rotary can support modern businesses in achieving their corporate social responsibility goals while strengthening their connections within local communities.

The exhibition provided an excellent opportunity to highlight the value of Rotary membership for both individuals and organisations. Visitors to the Rotary stand learned how Rotary offers opportunities for networking, leadership development, community engagement, and meaningful social impact.

The atmosphere throughout the day was positive and energetic, with many productive conversations taking place. The team generated a significant number of new contacts and enquiries from businesses interested in learning more about Rotary's corporate and individual membership opportunities.

Following Up with New Business Connections

The District Membership Team is now reviewing and distributing the leads gathered during the event. Businesses will be connected with local Rotary clubs based on their location and preferred meeting format, whether that be breakfast, lunchtime, or evening meetings.

This tailored approach helps ensure that prospective members can find a club that best suits their schedules, interests, and business objectives.

A Collaborative Rotary Effort

The event demonstrated the strength of collaboration between Rotary districts and local clubs.

Special thanks go to District 1070 Governor Moira Penney, together with Marc and John from the Rotary Club of Towcester, and Chris from Grantham Rotary Club for their support and expertise throughout the day.

Representing District 1260, Mike and Chris Hartley-Wiley from the Rotary Clubs of Wolverton and Stony Stratford played a key role in engaging with businesses and sharing the many benefits of Rotary membership.

Thanks are also extended to Kendal and Amanda from District 1260, along with Bob from District 1070, whose planning, preparation, and technical support helped ensure the event ran smoothly.

It was also a pleasure to welcome Councillor Amanda, whose attendance highlighted her commitment to supporting the Milton Keynes community and local organisations.
