The Treekly Challenge

In July a small group of Rotarians from The Rotary Club of Rushden (Geoff Banks, Matt Gerrett, Jon Sidey and Susan Perkins) signed up for the 2025 Treekly Challenge - a walking and fitness challenge which aims to make a positive impact on the environment.

Organised by the Rotary Club of Northampton Becket, the competition invited teams of up to five participants to walk a minimum 5000 steps a day and record those steps on the Treekly app via their mobile device or smartwatch. For each day their goal was hit, a tree would be planted. To make the challenge more interesting, a trophy was awarded to the group which recorded the highest step count for July.

Our team “Flower Power Stompers” all individually achieved the necessary 5000 per day and came a commendable 8th out of 35 teams. So that’s another 30 trees added to the environment. Well done to all concerned!
