Rotary Presidential Handover

25th June 2025 | Mark Darnell formally passes chain of office to Anton Rudgalvis

As one Rotary Year ends another begins. The last meeting of 2025 was on June 25th when President Mark Darnell formally passed the chain of office to incoming President Anton Rudgalvis. Mark commented on how the last 12 months had been excellent from the point of view of Members gained as well as targets being achieved.

Incoming Committee Chairs outlined their plans for the new Rotary Year - with the general view that we should strive to achieve “more of the same”. In view of some Chairs being away, Anton stood in for them literally wearing different “hats”.

Area Governor Norman Bristow responded on behalf of Rotary GB&I complementing the Club of the level of activity over the past year and wishing all Members well for the coming 12 months. In his presentation, Anton thanked all the Members for their effort and commitment which has contributed towards the success of the past Rotary Year – but at the same time issuing gentle words of warning that we must not over-stretch ourselves and more importantly we must keep the fun element in all that we do.....and we will!
