President’s Evening June 2025

On Friday June 20th, The Rotary Club of Rushden Celebrated President’s Evening. The setting was a sunlit Rushden Hall, Hall Park and some 60 Rotarians, partners and friends enjoyed a social evening of cocktails, canapés and music.

Mark Darnell outlined his year as President and it was really positive to hear about the achievements made by the Club in the past 12 months and how we had been able to donate some £20,000.00 to help improve the lives of people locally, nationally and internationally.

Robin Allen’s Social and Club Service Committee worked tirelessly in the weeks before the event – and even more on the night of the event to ensure our glasses and plates were replenished with a real international mixture of food and drinks – so a really big Rotary “thank you” to all the Members who helped before and on the night. A special “thank you” goes to the three young waitresses who were excellent in serving the food in all the rooms.

The musical entertainment was supplied by Lincoln Noel – The Maestro, a born entertainer, master of the keyboard and raconteur par excellence. Lincoln serenaded us with a whole range of songs together with some very amusing anecdotes of his life and work. He was even joined by Robin Allen at one point! A perfect example of how we put the “fun” into fundraising.
