Northampton Male Voice Choir Concert Raises the Roof – and Funds

On Saturday, 14 June, our Club proudly hosted the Northampton Male Voice Choir at St Mary’s Church, Higham Ferrers. Performing to a fully appreciative audience of nearly 200 people, the Choir once again delivered a rousing concert that quite literally raised the roof.

As always, the programme offered a rich and varied selection of music, ranging from sacred pieces to contemporary favourites, showcasing the Choir’s versatility and wide appeal.

The concert was not only a musical success but also a charitable one, raising a total of £1,440.00. Of this, £750.00 was donated to Prostate Cancer UK, with the remaining funds supporting our Club’s Youth Programme. This means that in total, the Club has donated £3,750.00 during this Rotary Year to President Mark Darnell’s chosen charity.

This much-loved event has now become a regular highlight in both the Choir’s and Rotary’s annual calendars, and we look forward to continuing this wonderful tradition in years to come.
