The Rotary Foundation encourages Rotarians, individuals, businesses, and community organisations to support its vital work through contributions to the Annual Fund, helping to deliver sustainable projects that make a lasting difference both locally and globally.

The Annual Fund serves as the primary source of funding for Foundation programmes, empowering Rotary members to develop and implement service projects that respond to the needs of communities. Contributions made through Rotary clubs are shared between the World Fund and District Designated Funds, ensuring support for both international initiatives and locally chosen projects.

Funds allocated to the World Fund support Rotary's highest-priority grants and programmes across districts worldwide, while District Designated Funds are used to finance Foundation, club, and district projects selected by local Rotary members.

The Rotary Foundation has established a strong reputation for accountability and effective stewardship of donations. Over the past 15 years, approximately 88% of its total expenditure has been directed towards programme work, significantly exceeding efficiency standards set by independent charity-rating organisations.

By supporting the Annual Fund, donors help make life-changing projects possible under Rotary's mission of "Doing Good in the World." These initiatives focus on seven key areas:

• Peacebuilding and conflict prevention
• Disease prevention and treatment
• Water, sanitation, and hygiene
• Maternal and child health
• Basic education and literacy
• Community economic development
• Supporting the environment
• The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International. RFUK provides Rotarians and supporters throughout Great Britain and Ireland with convenient ways to contribute, helping to increase funding available for Rotary's humanitarian and community-focused activities.
