Membership

We passionately believe that if Rotary in Ramsey is to survive and prosper, the club needs to increase and diversify its membership.

The membership committee plans to develop both short term and long-term objectives and a strategic plan for retaining and developing the Club membership as follows.

Prepare a 12-month action plan which looks to maintain the current level of membership and looking to attract both new members and Friends of Rotary.

Look at retention of members which considers the ages of members and implements, as appropriate, the findings of the recent membership survey. Also, looking at how we retain ‘Friends of Rotary’ and attract additional friends.

Start preparing a long-term strategic membership action plan which will align with the Club’s five-year strategic plan. We will need to be looking at the ever-changing Environment and will need to consider the Club’s outward facing public profile, the format and number of meetings a month and the types of membership options which will be needed if we are to attract new members.

Get an up-to-date flyer which can be used for distribution generally including all events when we meet the public.

Schedule in and organise a 'Meet the Public' meeting and events in Ramsey. Also look at similar being organised in Warboys, Wistow, Broughton, Benwick, Merside, Upwood, and St Marys. Also possibly consider spreading to area to take in the likes of Sawtry and Alconbury.
