New Member Charlotte Dodden joins Rotary in Ramsey.

_{Our club welcomed Charlotte Dodden as our latest new member on 11th February. Charlotte has been a regular visitor to our club over the past few months, and we know she will enhance the vibrant and diverse fellowship our members enjoy.Charlotte has recently retired from the Civil Service where she worked in procurement, specifically for H.M. Prisons Service. Charlotte is so keen to get involved that she has even volunteered to become Assistant Secretary from the very start. Needless to say, current Secretary, Mark and incoming Secretary Carole Broom are delighted!}_{The essence of Rotary world-wide is foremost about Service & Fellowship. The Rotary International Foundation serves Humanity both within our Local Communities and Worldwide. Our motto is "Service above self".}_{It’s not all “good works”- Rotary is also about having some fun, as “we are everyday people” who also like to let our hair down.}_{Just as “a taster” we enjoy many events together such as:}_{Quiz Nights, Race Nights, Antique Fairs, Santa Float Runs, events at the Royal Albert Hall, including Cirque du Soleil and Classical Christmas Spectacular, Last Night of The Proms, Ten Pin Bowling, a Christmas Dinner (complete with musical interlude provided by members and guests), Bird Watching, Magic, vocational visits to Amazon and The Great Fen Project and much more besides.}

Membership

We passionately believe that if Rotary in Ramsey is to survive and prosper, the club needs to increase and diversify its membership.

Read below for information about the small market town of Ramsey and how Rotary in Ramsey became a force for good in our community.

The Foundation Committee is key to our engagement with the Rotary Charity, Foundation. This is rated one of the Top 3 Charities in the World!

We use this, our Website and also our Facebook page to promote what we do. And we are proud to publish in a variety of publications including The Ramsey and Warboys Informer Newspaper; The Fen Magazine and The Hunts Post.

Club Admin Committee

We do the Admin that frees up our Committees to focus on delivering positive engagement with our local and International community!

Our community activities encompass a wide range of events and initiatives that bring people together to connect, learn, and support one another.

Youth Service is all about positive engagement with the youngest in our community. Delivering exciting programmes that young people can engage with and grow in confidence to develop skills for life!

The International Committee aim to support ongoing and new good causes overseas wherever possible. We also look to respond positively in times of disaster, helping those in need.

Our Environment matters! We plan to engage with the local community, especially our youngest who are so enthused about environmental matters. Be it a Litter Pick or Hedge Planting, look out for news on events coming soon.

Rotary IMPACTing WARBOYS reflects our aim in coming together to benefit both the local Warboys Community and wider Rotary family.
