A changing of the guard at Ramsey

Tue, Jul 4th 2017 at 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

The annual Handover of officers took place on Tuesday 4th July 2017.

Pictures from the evening to follow - but here is an image of your shiny, new President, Mark Pettitt

On Tuesday 4th July we held our Handover BBQ where outgoing President Chris Wick delighted us with, shall we say, some novelty gifts highlighting some Members more interesting characteristics. Without doubt, the presentation of Gobstoppers to PDG Richard Hyde was a highlight!!
We then saw a changing of the Guard with Chris passing the heavy chain of office over to Mark Pettitt. Mark in turn passed the President Elect ribbon over to John O'Reilly. John then passed the Junior Vice ribbon to Carole Broom.
Incoming President Mark spoke warmly about accepting the challenge ahead and shared an amusing story about how the day had not gone to plan, such was the distraction of the evening's meaning. A small incident with a bollard in Cambridge which has been passed 100's of times previously.....

Pictures from the evening to be shared in due course.
