Jean Dunn is arranging a walk on the 7th August at 10.30am starting from The
Swan at Lamport (NN69EZ).
The walk is approximately 3.5 miles long but there is a shorter route of approximately 2.5 miles for those who cannot manage the full route. This is an easy diversion as you can walk to the pub along the main road path while others continue across the main road for the longer version.
If you have the book "Pub Strolls in
Northamptonshire" by Judy Smith, it is number 26 in the book.
There are no stiles but a gradual hill at one point, though there is a seat at the top.
It may be that you will have to give your menu choice to me a few days
before the walk (menu on line) though I was told that it might be
possible for them to open early for us and take the details then, but
this hasn't yet been confirmed, it depends on numbers.
So if you wish
to take part, would you please let me know, check out the menu on line
and in any case let me have your choice by the 4th August.
Best wishes
Jean
