The
walk is around Brafield-on-the-Green and the surrounding fields.
Brafield's village pond has been called the prettiest in the county and
there are some nice views over the Nene valley. A few small sections are
across fields but most of it is on grassy tracks or paths. There are
no stiles and only a few short bits of ascent and descent. Afterwards
we will have lunch at the Red Lion pub. If any members wish to join us
only for lunch you would be most welcome.
The route usually takes me
and the dogs about an hour (so about 2 to 3 miles distance) but as a
group I propose to allow 1 1/2 hours.
The plan is to have lunch at
1.00 pm and the pub have asked because we may be a largish party that
we order our food before we set off. I would ask that we pay for it then
as well. The plan is therefore to meet up at The Red Lion pub at 11.15
to order the food and we aim to start walking at 11.30 am.
Please
let me know if you wish to join the walk and have lunch or just have
lunch. The pub accepts dogs in certain areas. The pubs menu is on its
website and the Main Menu is their lunch menu.
