I was always very keen that members should have the opportunity of enjoying one another’s company in a few days away. We’d held, previously, trips to France and Portsmouth which were very successful and well supported. Also, there was no support for District Conference at Hunstanton this year.
Originally, the plan was to visit Norfolk, but this didn’t work out because hotels were reluctant to take reservations for a large number so far in the future.
So, I suggested Stratford with a visit to the RSC to see “The War of The Roses”.
The take up was very encouraging with 20 signing up to go. Our party will stay at an hotel that is very near the RSC, so no cars required. We will dine at the hotel one evening and the second will be at the RSC where I have managed to book a private room for our party.
It should be a fun time and we shall enjoy socialising and putting the world to rights.
If the weather’s fine, Stratford is a great place to stay.
